Laura Gowans serves as the President of the Board of Directors at SocialHeart since August 2020. Previously, Gowans held the position of Chief Operating Officer at LEANLAB Education from December 2021 to September 2024, where significant achievements included enhancing organizational efficiency and revitalizing internal culture. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Operations at BioTrillion, where operational scaling and business development were key focuses, and Chief of Staff and Operations Lead at SpiderOak, overseeing strategic initiatives and investor relations. Gowans began their professional journey at IT-FITS as an Information Technology Assistant. Educational credentials comprise a BA in History and French from Scripps College, complemented by studies at Sarah Lawrence College in Paris.
