Norman Smith Pinto

Norman Smith Pinto is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in project management and operations. Currently serving as Director de Ingeniería at SQM since January 2020, Norman has previously held the position of Deputy Project Director at Covalent Lithium Pty Ltd from May 2019 to January 2020, and Senior Consultant at Degu Consultores from October 2018 to December 2019. Norman's extensive career at SQM includes roles as Director de Proyectos, Superintendente Mantenimiento, and Jefe de Mantenimiento from March 2000 to September 2018. Norman holds a Diploma en Administración de Operaciones from Universidad de Chile (2001-2002) and a degree in Ingeniero Civil Mecánico from Universidad de Santiago de Chile (1985-1992).
