Leila Pereira

One of the main executives in the Brazilian market today, businesswoman Leila Mejdalani Pereira was born on November 11, 1964 in Cambuci, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, and when she was less than a year old, she moved with her family to Cabo Frio. , also in the interior of the state of Rio.

Leila graduated in Journalism and Law, but her vocation for business, boosted by the encouragement of her husband José Roberto Lamacchia, made her enter the business world. She took charge of Crefisa in 2008 and is also the president of the Centro Universitário das Américas (FAM), in addition to managing 11 other companies in the group.

At Palmeiras, Leila became the most voted councilor in history in 2017, obtaining a total of 248 votes, and was re-elected in 2021 also with a record result, this time with 387 votes. On November 20, 2021, in a single slate vote, she was elected the 40th president in the club's history, being the first woman - she received 1,897 votes from the members out of a total of 2,141 (244 were blank), thus surpassing the 50% necessary to guarantee the election.

With Crefisa and FAM being Palmeiras' main partners since 2015, the businesswoman actively participated in the club's reconstruction and saw the investment of her companies reflected in the national titles of the 2015 and 2020 Copa do Brasil and the 2016 and 2018 Brazilian Championship. , consolidating Verdão as the Greatest Champion in Brazil, in addition to the São Paulo championship, in 2020 and 2022, and the CONMEBOL Libertadores championship, in 2020 and 2021.
