Michael Whelan

Michael Whelan currently serves as Vice President of Investment Grade Credit Sales at Societe Generale, a position held since August 2023, specializing in institutional credit sales. Prior to this role, Michael worked at Stifel Financial Corp. in institutional credit sales focusing on investment grade and high yield credit from June 2021 to August 2023. Michael's experience also includes working at J.P. Morgan in agency securities lending from November 2018 to June 2021 and serving as City Councilman for the Borough of Red Bank, New Jersey, from January 2016 to December 2018. Earlier in the career, Michael was a Sales Account Executive at Global Indemnity Insurance Agency, Inc. from August 2014 to November 2018, concentrating on property, casualty, and life insurance sales. Michael initiated a professional path as a Summer Analyst at Morgan Stanley in June 2012. Academically, Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Manhattan University between 2010 and 2014, following education at Christian Brothers Academy from 2006 to 2010.
