SCAI represents more than 4,300 members across 70 countries, promoting excellence in invasive and interventional cardiovascular medicine for adults and children through education and the advancement of quality standards to enhance patient care. 

Focus areas for SCAI include establishing standards and guidelines for all aspects of cardiac catheterization and angiography, training, credentialling, safety and quality assurance for cardiac procedures.
