Allison Handy

PNW Chapter President at Society for Corporate Governance

Allison Handy has a strong background in corporate law and governance. Allison started their career at Mayer Brown as an Associate from January 2010 to April 2013. Allison then moved to Perkins Coie LLP, where they held various roles: Associate from April 2013 to January 2016, Counsel from January 2016 to January 2018, and currently as a Partner since January 2018. At Perkins Coie LLP, their responsibilities include advising public companies on corporate governance practices, SEC compliance, securities offerings, and corporate transactions.

In addition to their work at Perkins Coie LLP, Allison is actively involved in organizations related to corporate governance. Allison serves as the PNW Chapter President for the Society for Corporate Governance since August 2019 and previously held the position of PNW Chapter Advisory Committee Member from April 2016 to August 2019. Allison is also a Board Member of Cascade Bicycle Club starting from January 2022.

Allison's dedication to corporate governance extends beyond their legal career. Allison is a Trustee at the Pacific Northwest Research Institute since March 2015. Allison Handy pursued their education chronologically, beginning in the year 2000. From 2000 to 2004, they attended Yale University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Anthropology. Following that, they attended the University of Chicago Law School from 2006 to 2009, where they successfully obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
