Christina Ibrahim is currently the Assistant Secretary of the Board at Society for Corporate Governance. Prior to this, they served as the Director, Chair Nominating and Governance Committee at PDC Energy, Inc. from January 2018 to June 2021. Christina also worked as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Weatherford from January 2015 to December 2020.

Ibrahim has extensive experience in corporate governance and risk management. As the Chief Transformation Officer – Culture during transformation at Weatherford, they partnered with the CEO to strategically guide the organization through complex business and culture transformation and restructuring. Christina also advised the Board, CEO and senior leadership on all internal and external legal affairs, including global commercial business, governance, mergers & divestitures, regulatory matters, litigation management, employment, supply chain and real estate to achieve company objectives.

Under their leadership, the Weatherford legal department was restructured to be more productive and efficient, resulting in a reduction of outside spend of more than 20% year on year. Christina also led the negotiation and project management of the largest financial restructuring proceeding in U.S., Ireland and Bermuda in their sector, as well as exit financing, resulting in a reduction of debt. In addition, they led the company to an early conclusion of the Department of Justice monitor and led enhancement of compliance program.

Christina Ibrahim has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Finance from Virginia Tech. Christina also has a Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University. Christina is certified by the State Bar of Texas in Bar Admission.
