Jillian Kunze is currently serving as the Associate Editor at SIAM News, where Jillian develops content related to applied math. Previously, Jillian worked as a Science Communicator at the Joint Quantum Institute, developing interactive animations on quantum physics concepts. Prior to that, Jillian was an Observational Cosmology Student Researcher at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where Jillian worked on the development of an instrument to study gamma ray bursts. Jillian has also worked as a Physics Teaching Assistant and Astronomy Tutor at the University of Maryland. With a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Maryland, Jillian has a strong background in science communication and research.
