Michael Sperling

Michael Sperling is a seasoned IT management consultant and education professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Since 2017, Michael has served on the Member Chapter Advisory Council for the Society for Information Management and has been an advisor to the Board of Directors at SIM AZ since 2015. Michael is also the Principal Emeritus at Sperling & Associates, a position held since 2004. Previously, Michael served as President of SIM AZ and held the role of Treasurer from 1994 to 2012, with membership dating back to 1984. Michael's notable leadership positions include President at the University of Phoenix and Project Management roles at the City of Phoenix, focusing on significant initiatives like the Honeywell to IBM conversion. With a rich background in consulting, including founding Moen Goodman & Locke, and extensive technical experience with organizations like First Interstate Bank and The Bell System, Michael holds an MBA in Management from the University of Connecticut and a BA in English from Kentucky Wesleyan College.
