In their role as Head of Content at Catalyst Technologies, Debra oversaw company content, collaborated with stakeholders to create an enterprise content strategy and development plan, and worked with start-up founders to manage and disseminate company content.
Debra has also gained experience in change management at Cisco and served as the Manager of Technical Documentation and Customer Education at CentralSquare Technologies. In this role, they led a team of technical writers, provided direction and coaching, and developed instructional and reference content for various audiences.
Prior to these roles, Debra held positions at Wyndham Vacation Ownership and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where they contributed to the development and editing of technical content, provided training and direction, and documented business processes.
Throughout their career, Debra has also worked as a technical communication consultant for various companies, including Cisco, Marriott Vacation Club International, and SunTrust Banks.

Debra Johnson received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Organizational Communications with a minor in Business Law from Kennesaw State University. Debra attended the university from 1988 to 1994. Debra then pursued a Master's degree in Professional and Technical Communication from Southern Polytechnic State University between 1995 and 1997. Additionally, Debra obtained several certifications in the field of technical communication from the Society for Technical Communication. These certifications include the Strategic Information Architecture Certificated Workshop (obtained in 2013), Content Strategy and Management Certificated Workshop (obtained in 2012), Technical Communications Management Certificated Workshop (obtained in 2011), and Content Management Certificated Workshop (obtained in 2010).
