Marissa Mayo

Marissa Mayo holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Archaeology and a Master of Science in Paleopathology from Durham University, alongside dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Anthropology and History with a minor in Classical Studies from Ithaca College. Currently serving as the Director of Facilities and Operations at Historic New England since August 2021, Marissa previously held the position of Property Care Operations Manager. Prior experience includes leadership roles as Store Director at Event Network, LLC, and Store Manager at both Starbucks and Teavana. Additionally, Marissa has contributed to the Heritage Museums and Gardens as Interim Director of Horticulture and Horticulturist, and gained valuable experience in the Anthropology Department as an Artifact Sketch Artist, Research Assistant, and Picture and File Curator.
