Miguel Godeiro Fernandez

Miguel Godeiro Fernandez is an undergraduate medical student at Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, expected to graduate in 2025. Currently, Miguel serves on the Research Team at the International Student Surgical Network Brazil, focusing on promoting equal access to surgical care as part of Global Surgery principles. Additionally, Miguel acts as a Social Media Ambassador for the Society for Vascular Surgery, aiming to engage vascular-focused students and trainees. Previous experience includes an observational internship at Instituto Médico Legal Nina Rodrigues, a junior researcher position at Hospital Ana Nery – Bahia with a focus on cardiology and heart surgery, and serving as the Director of Communications for the Brazilian Association of Surgery Interest Groups (ABLAC).
