Dena Vassallo

Dena Vassallo is the CEO and Founder of Society Marketing Communications Pty Ltd, an agency focused on providing authentic marketing communications. Dena is also a Committee Member of Global Women in Public Relations, working towards uplifting women in senior PR and communications roles. Dena serves as a Council Member for Walford Anglican School for Girls and a Board Member for Green Adelaide, where they are involved in leading sustainable and environmental projects. Additionally, they are the Board Chair of Dena Creates, a role they held from February 2022 to January 2024. Before starting their own agency, Dena served as the Executive Director and Chief Commercial Officer for PPR Australia and New Zealand. Dena also worked as Vice President of Consumer Marketing at Edelman, where they collaborated on successful campaigns for Unilever. Throughout their career, Dena has demonstrated expertise in building brands and delivering innovative solutions.

Dena Vassallo obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication from Michigan State University from 1996 to 2000. In 1999, they also pursued a brief study in International Media Relations at UCL.
