Jim Carter, F.SAME has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Jim began their career in 1998 as the National Sales Director at EMAX Laboratories, Inc. In 2002, they held the position of Past President at both the Groundwater Resources Association (GRA) of California and the Professional Environmental Marketing Association (PEMA). During their time at GRA, they directed a successful membership drive and managed a significant budget. At PEMA, they served as President and Vice President, overseeing all aspects of the association and achieving record-breaking corporate sponsorships and donations. In 2011, they were elected as President of the Society of American Military Engineers Orange County Post and served in that role for two years. Jim has also been involved with the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), serving on the Steering Committee and acting as the Laboratory Subcommittee Chair in the Environmental Community of Interest. Additionally, they held the position of Deputy Regional Vice President for SAME's California Region starting in 2018. With their diverse experience in both the private and non-profit sectors, Jim Carter has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to professional associations.
Jim Carter, F.SAME, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Harvey Mudd College. Jim attended the college from 1978 to 1982.
