Freelance Journalist And Photographer at Society of American Travel Writers

Ursula Maxwell-Lewis currently serves as President of Friends of the Surrey Museum, Archives and Historic Stewart Farm Society and Chairperson of Cloverdale Seniors' Housing Society, both roles initiated in November 2023. Ursula also holds the position of Board Treasurer for the British Columbia Chapter of the Travel Media Association of Canada since June 2021 and has been a Columnist with Black Press Media since June 1996. As a Freelance Journalist and Photographer affiliated with the Society of American Travel Writers since 2010, Ursula contributes actively and co-chairs the BC Chapter. Additionally, Ursula has been a Lifestyle Columnist, Photographer, and Content Editor for Spotlight on the Arts Magazine since December 2009, and a Travel Columnist and Photographer for Cloverdale Reporter News since August 1996. As Director Emeritus for the Surrey International Writers' Conference, a founding member since October 1992, Ursula has significantly contributed to the literary community. Other affiliations include writing for Today's Senior Newsmagazine since May 1990 and Travelling Times since August 1996. Education includes studies at Damelin and Goethe Institute.
