Sanjay P Muttreja M.D. Sfhm

Sanjay P Muttreja MD SFHM is an experienced physician in the field of Internal Medicine, currently serving as the Associate Program Director and Core Faculty at UHS since January 2019. In addition to this role, Sanjay holds the position of Regional Medical Director at Envision Physician Services, overseeing operations in Southern California since August 2015, and has been a Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine with the Society of Hospital Medicine since December 2017. Previous leadership roles include Department Chair at SWHCS, UHS, and Associate Regional Medical Director at EmCare. Sanjay gained a strong foundation in medical leadership and program development by starting a new Hospitalist program with Physician Hospitalist Partners and has held various significant medical director positions throughout a diverse career in healthcare. Sanjay completed the Doctor of Medicine degree at the State University of New York Brooklyn, following an initial medical education at Armed Forces Medical College in India.
