Society of Interventional Radiology
The Society of Interventional Radiology is a national organization of physicians, trainees, students, scientists, clinical associates and other allied health professionals dedicated to improving public health through disease management and minimally invasive, image-guided therapeutic interventions. The mission of SIR is to improve the health of the public through pioneering advances in image-guided therapy. Interventional radiologists are physicians who specialize in minimally invasive, targeted treatments. They offer the most in-depth knowledge of the least invasive treatments available coupled with diagnostic and clinical experience across all specialties. Many conditions that once required surgery can be treated less invasively by interventional radiologists. Interventional radiology treatments offer less risk, less pain and less recovery time compared to open surgery. Visit sirweb.org. Looking for a job in interventional radiology?
