Wafa Khan is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in practice development and operations. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Practice Development and Operations at the Society of Interventional Radiology since October 2020, Wafa previously held the role of Manager of Practice Development and Operations. Prior experience includes serving as Practice Manager at Virginia Cancer Care Inc from September 2017 to January 2020 and as Deputy Manager at NHS England from October 2006 to February 2017. The Society of Interventional Radiology is a national organization of physicians, trainees, students, scientists, clinical associates and other allied health professionals dedicated to improving public health through disease management and minimally invasive, image-guided therapeutic interventions. The mission of SIR is to improve the health of the public through pioneering advances in image-guided therapy. Interventional radiologists are physicians who specialize in minimally invasive, targeted treatments. They offer the most in-depth knowledge of the least invasive treatments available coupled with diagnostic and clinical experience across all specialties. Many conditions that once required surgery can be treated less invasively by interventional radiologists.
