Mark Williams

Mark Williams is an experienced local government professional currently serving as a Peer Challenge Reviewer for the Local Government Association since March 2023. With a long-standing role as Town Clerk for Falmouth Town Council since January 2003, Mark also promotes Cornish culture as a Cornish Ambassador with the Cornwall Place Board. As Chairman of the Cornwall Branch of the Society of Local Council Clerks since April 2013, Mark supports local council clerks across the UK. Previously, Mark held positions such as Vice-Chair of Governors at Rosemellin Community Primary School and a College Council Member at Falmouth Marine School. Mark's extensive background includes roles in democratic services at Kerrier District Council and directorship at the Falmouth & Penryn Community Interest Company, alongside a solid educational foundation in public administration and local government governance.
