Luke Fountain

Luke Fountain is a student at Washington and Lee University with extensive experience in journalism and professional development. As a reporter for the Ring-tum Phi, Luke has published over 20 stories addressing crucial topics within the university community, including diversity and labor issues, while enhancing engagement through a weekly newsletter. Additional reporting roles with the Society of Professional Journalists, Education Writers Association, and The Charlotte Observer have involved breaking significant news stories and uncovering impactful issues such as charter school investments and roadway safety. Luke's background also includes a congressional internship, mock trial participation, and leadership in professional development for peers, demonstrating a commitment to civic engagement and communication. Currently pursuing a degree in Political Science and Government, Luke's diverse experiences reflect a strong dedication to journalism and advocacy.
