Damian Borth has an extensive work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Damian is currently a Professor of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at the University of St.Gallen, where they also serve as the Director of the Institute of Computer Science. Damian Borth started their education in 2001 at DHBW Mannheim, where they pursued a degree in Information Technology and obtained a Dipl-Ing (BA). Damian then went on to UC Santa Barbara in 2003, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. From 2006 to 2009, Damian attended RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, where they achieved a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science. Subsequently, they pursued a PhD in Computer Science at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau from 2010 to 2014. After completing their PhD, Damian joined the University of California, Berkeley in 2014 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the field of Deep Learning, which they continued until 2015.
