Lin Deng P.Eng., P.E. has over 37 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Lin Deng is currently serving as the Principal Engineer at SOCOTEC USA since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at GE Power as a Senior Structural Engineer from May 2018 to December 2020. From September 2012 to May 2018, Lin worked at GE Renewable Energy, where they held the position of Engineering Manager, Mechanical Design and Structural Integrity. Lin Deng started as a Technology Manager and gradually assumed the role of Engineering Manager. Lin also has experience working at Hamon Deltak, Inc. as a Structural Engineering Manager from September 2008 to September 2012. Before this, they served as a Structural Engineer/Welding Engineer at Nucor from May 2001 to September 2008. Lin's early career includes roles as a Senior Civil Engineer at Canam Steel Works from May 1999 to May 2001, a Project Engineer at Shell China Ltd from February 1995 to February 1997, a Project Manager at Jinan Huawei M&E Ltd from January 1993 to December 1994, and a Structural Engineer at Beijing Consulting & Engineering Co. for Light Industry from August 1984 to February 1993. Throughout their career, Lin has demonstrated expertise in structural engineering, mechanical design, and project management.

Lin Deng P.Eng., P.E. completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, between the years 1980 and 1984. Subsequently, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Toronto, from 1997 to 1999.
