Alex Hayward

Alex Hayward has a diverse work experience in software development and quality assurance. They most recently worked at Socotra as a Staff Software Developer in Test. Prior to that, they worked at Amazon as a Quality Assurance Engineer II, where they had ownership of Alexa Connect Kit (ACK) and led shift-left testing mechanisms. Before Amazon, Alex worked at Ascendum Solutions as a Software Developer in Test, automating API and UI tests for various platforms. They also have experience at Apptio as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, and Quality Assurance Engineer II, where they were responsible for automation efforts and managing test teams. Alex also worked at Microsoft as a Software Test Engineer II, focusing on quality assurance for web-based advertising, and at Nuance Communications as a Software Test Engineer, working on the Swype keyboard app.

Alex Hayward completed a Certificate in Software Test Automation from the University of Washington in 2014. Later, from 2015 to 2018, Alex pursued a Bachelor of Science in Software Development from Western Governors University. Alongside their education, Alex obtained various certifications such as CompTIA Project+ in April 2018, CIW User Interface Designer in August 2017, CIW Advanced HTML5 & CSS3 Specialist in July 2017, CIW Site Development Associate in June 2017, and CompTIA A+ in November 2016.
