Jorge Contreras

Jorge Contreras has a diverse work experience in the furniture industry. Jorge began their career at Value City Furniture/ American Signature Furniture as a Home Furnishing Consultant in December 2009. Jorge then moved up to the role of Sales Manager in February 2011 before leaving the company that same year in August. In 2011, they joined Sofamaster and held various management positions. Jorge started as a Production Manager from September 2011 to December 2013, then became an Operations Manager from December 2013 to January 2017. Jorge was promoted to General Manager and held that position from January 2017 to August 2020. Currently, they are serving as the President of Sofamaster, a position they have held since August 2020.

Jorge Contreras completed their education at three different institutions. In 2008, they attended Tecnológico de Monterrey and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. Later that year, they briefly attended Boston University to study Business. In 2023, they enrolled in The Wharton School and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
