Hans Christian Henningsen

Principal Systems Engineer at Sofant Technologies

Hans Christian Henningsen has over twenty-five years of experience in the engineering industry. Their work experience includes roles in RF design, systems design, and product development. Hans Christian began their career in 1991 at Bang & Olufsen as an RF Design Engineer, where they designed sound broadcast receivers with FM (VHF) and AM (LW, MW, SW) receivers. Hans Christian also worked as a Design Engineer on a medical research project, developing laser drivers and optical detectors, as well as data processing and correlation methods.

In 1996, Henningsen joined Danlab Electronics as an RF Design Engineer, where they developed CATV wideband amplifiers from 50MHz to 1GHz. Hans Christian then moved to Bosch Telecom in 1997, where they were an RF Design Engineer on the first dual-band GSM handset product. In 2000, they joined Siemens Mobile Phones as an RF Design Engineer, leading EDGE RF transmitter architecture and systems design, as well as handset product development.

Henningsen then worked at Infineon Technologies as an RF Design Engineer in 2006, where they designed UMTS RF designs and RF modems. In 2008, they moved to DICE (Danube Integrated Circuit Engineering) as an RF Design Engineer, developing cellular mobile phone RF chips with complex signal processing and UMTS (3G), LTE RF chip development. In 2011, they joined Intel Mobile Communications as an RF Systems Engineer, designing cellular mobile phone RF systems with RF power control systems and NR (5G), LTE (4G) RF systems design. Finally, they are currently employed at Sofant Technologies as a Principal Systems Engineer, working on electronic steerable antenna systems design and product development, as well as beam steering control architecture and RF Ka band systems and circuit design.

Hans Christian Henningsen attended Aarhus University from 1988 to 1991, where they earned a B.Sc.E.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
