Ian Villeda

Ian Villeda has held a variety of roles in the technology and entertainment industries. In 2009, they began working as a Front of House at Broadsound Entertainment. The following year, they were a Research Assistant for Dr. Timothy Beach, Professor of Geography. In 2011, they joined Mapbox as an Engineering Manager, Cartography and then an Engineering Manager, Maps APIs, where they were responsible for ensuring the 24/7/365 reliability of a suite API products and worked closely with customers to design API products and plan product life cycles. In 2022, they will become an Engineering Manager at Sofar Ocean.

Ian Villeda received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 2011, where they studied Science, Technology, and International Affairs.
