Kevin Lochner

Kevin Lochner has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Kevin is currently working at SoFi as the Senior Director of Software Engineering, where they oversee the engineering organization for the Enterprise, Content, and Insights business unit. In this role, they are responsible for leading a team of 50 engineers and working closely with product and business strategy across multiple businesses within the unit.

Prior to SoFi, Kevin worked at Clara Lending as a Founding Engineer, where they built and grew the engineering function for the company. Kevin also has experience as a Director of Engineering at RealPage, Inc. and as the CTO of RentMineOnline.

Kevin's early career included roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan, where they conducted research in technology and economics and participated in interdisciplinary projects. Kevin also had an internship as a Hardware Engineering Intern at SGI, where they performed testing and wrote hardware tests.

Kevin Lochner attended Pioneer HS for an undisclosed period of time. Kevin then went on to study at Duke University from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a BSE degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics. In 1998, Kevin attended the University of Wollongong, focusing on Econometrics and Quantitative Economics. Later, from 2001 to 2007, they pursued a higher level of education at the University of Michigan, where they obtained a Ph.D. degree in Artificial Intelligence.
