Paul Mayer

Paul Mayer is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in corporate development and strategy within the financial services sector. Currently serving as President and Board Member of SoFi Bank since November 2019, Paul oversees a consumer bank with over $25 billion in assets and manages the Student Loan Refinance business. Previously, Paul played a crucial role as Founder and Head of Strategy & Operations at SoFi Bank, leading the bank's successful launch in February 2022. Prior experiences include senior leadership roles at Cross River, Navient, and Sallie Mae, where significant accomplishments included executing over 25 corporate acquisitions and divestitures totaling $3.3 billion in purchase price. Paul's earlier career also involved strategic consulting and legislative assistance, complemented by an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA from Cornell University.
