Matti Tarmio

Matti Tarmio has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. From 2022 to the present, they have worked as a Marketing and Communications Business Partner at Sofigate. Prior to this, they were an Event Marketing Specialist at Krogerus from October 2019 to August 2022. Matti also gained experience at Åbo Akademi, where they served as a Project Manager/Startup Specialist from July 2017 to October 2019. During this time, they also worked as a Project Coordinator for Archipelago Business Development from June 2018 to December 2018. In 2016, Matti co-founded two companies: Pilvivarasto, a service-oriented storage solution, and Vint.fi. Matti was involved in both ventures until December 2018. Additionally, Matti has worked in various roles, such as Translator and Alpine Guide at Slopetrotter Skitours from September 2015 to March 2016, and as a Marketing Intern at Turku Philharmonic Orchestra from January 2015 to June 2015. Moreover, they held positions at Legioona Oy as a Marketing Team Member from September 2014 to October 2015, and at AIESEC as a Marketing Team Leader from April 2014 to December 2014. Matti also gained experience at Slush as part of the Startup operations team from September 2017 to October 2017.

Matti Tarmio holds a Master's Degree in International Marketing from Åbo Akademi University. Matti pursued this degree from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, in 2013, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Reykjavik University. Additionally, from 2016 to 2018, Matti attended Axxell - Vocational School, where they specialized in Wilderness Guide, although they did not obtain a specific degree from this institution. Matti also holds a Business Technology Standard Green Card, which they acquired in April 2023 from the Business Technology Forum.
