Gilles Merle

Gilles Merle has over 25 years of work experience in the technology industry. Gilles started their career as a Software Engineer at Gemplus in 1994. Gilles then worked as a Project Manager at SCM Microsystems - Identive from 1995 to 1998.

In 1998, they joined Viaccess-Orca (formerly Orca Interactive) as a Project Manager responsible for coordinating various projects until 2002. From 2003 to 2007, they were an Area Sales Manager for Viaccess-Orca, developing key accounts in France, North Africa, and the Middle East.

From 2008 to 2009, Gilles served as the Sales Director at Viaccess-Orca, leading a sales team focused on PayTV Operators in the EMEA & America regions.

In 2009, they joined Oberthur Technologies as the Business Development Director for Digital TV. Gilles held this position until 2013, overseeing the company's business development in the digital TV sector.

Since 2014, Gilles has been working as the APAC and MEA Sales Director at SoftAtHome, where they are responsible for business development with telecom and PayTV operators in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific countries. Gilles promotes software for telecom residential gateways, TV set-top boxes, and IoT boxes.

Gilles Merle completed their Licence in Engineering Science at the Université de Rouen from 1988 to 1990. Their field of study focused on Electronic, Automation, and Embedded Software. Following this, they pursued a Master 2 degree in Engineering Science with a specialization in Embedding Software, Picture & Video Analysis option at the same university from 1991 to 1992.
