Najam has also been an active member of various committees at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, working towards promoting the interests of trade and industry. Additionally, he has experience in software development services and has served on the Board of Studies at the Institute of Business Management. In the past, he worked as a Junior Lecturer in Bio-Medical at Jamia Millia Polytechnic Institute and holds multiple degrees in Electronics.
