Chalitha De Silva has a strong background in treasury and banking, with extensive experience in managing financial risk, executing trading strategies, and optimizing financial performance.

Chalitha began their career as a Trainee Banking Assistant at Nations Trust Bank, quickly rising through the ranks to become a Senior Banking Assistant. They then transitioned to a role as a Manager in FX and Money Market, where they independently handled the Inter-Bank Trading Desk and managed the Foreign Exchange Desk and Money Market Desk. They played a key role in achieving annual operating budgets and implementing strategic plans.

Chalitha later joined DFCC Bank PLC, where they held various roles. As the Senior Treasury Sales Manager and Senior Dealer, they successfully established a Treasury Sales desk, which became a significant income generator for the company. They also served as the Chief Dealer of DFCC Bank Treasury, where they led a team of professionals in executing trading strategies, managing risk, and achieving overall treasury budget.

Currently, Chalitha works at Softlogic Life as the Vice President and Head of Treasury, where they oversee the treasury operations and strategy of the company.

Throughout their career, Chalitha has demonstrated a solid understanding of local and global financial markets, proficient knowledge of various financial instruments, and a track record of consistently achieving outstanding results.

Chalitha De Silva completed a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, with a specialization in General studies, from Cardiff Metropolitan University from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, Chalitha obtained a Diploma in Treasury, Investment, and Risk Management from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) in 2009. In 2008, Chalitha also earned a certification - ACI - Foreign Exchange Dealing Certificate - from ACI - The Financial Markets Association, focusing on Financial Risk and Treasury Management.
