Mike Arendes

Mike Arendes has worked in the transportation industry for over 30 years. Mike began their career in 1989 as a Game Staff for the Washington Capitals. In 1990, they became a Staff Economist for ATA, where they produced and wrote a number of industry reports, analyses and publications. In 1994, they joined the Intermodal Association of North America as the Director of Research and created and published numerous industry reports. In 1998, they became the Director of Marketing for Hub Group, Inc. where they created, developed and managed all advertising, marketing and sales collateral. In 2000, they joined Webmodal, Inc. as the Vice President and was involved in nearly all aspects of the Internet start-up company. In 2001, they became the Director of Business Development for Matson Integrated Logistics and lead and developed the team of Inside Sales representatives. Also in 2001, they became a Partner at Aquitaine Assets, LLC and grew the business to $30 million in revenue in three years. In 2011, they became the Vice President of Softmodal LLC, a dynamic web-based system designed to optimally and effectively rate and route rail intermodal, full truckload and LTL shipments. Mike also became the Managing Partner of BV Holdings LLC, which operates as Roar Logistics Inc., a leading provider of freight technology systems, integrated transportation, warehousing and distribution services throughout North America.

Mike Arendes attended Gonzaga from 1982 to 1985, and then James Madison University from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics.
