Johannes Viegener is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in research and development leadership across global organizations. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of R&D at Software AG since December 2005, Johannes oversees R&D initiatives spanning four continents and is responsible for product, M&A, and strategy related to enterprise software in IoT, SaaS, analytics, messaging, cloud-native, and event processing. In addition to this role, Johannes is Vice President at TrendMiner since July 2018 and has been a member of the Board of Directors for Software AG Development Center Bulgaria EOOD from 2007 to 2020, where efforts included establishing a new development center in Bulgaria.
