Femke van Velthoven has a diverse work experience. Femke started their career as a Marketing Project Manager at Software Improvement Group (SIG) in September 2006, where they were responsible for marketing planning and execution, budget planning and reporting, campaign management with multidisciplinary teams, content creation in English and Dutch, social media posting, email marketing, coordination of third parties, and event organization. Femke then worked as a Marketing & Communication Consultant at SIG from May 2011 to June 2016, followed by a role as the Head of Customer Communication from July 2016 to August 2019. In their most recent role at SIG as the Field Marketing Manager, they were co-responsible for marketing planning and execution for prospects and clients in the BeNeLux region. Additionally, they worked at Stichting Bevrijdingspop Haarlem as a Producer for the Kinderfestival from September 2005 to June 2010, where they helped professionalize and expand the children's festival at the liberation festival.

Femke van Velthoven completed their education at Inholland University of Applied Sciences from 2002 to 2006. Femke obtained a Bachelor of Communications degree with a focus on Management and Consultancy. In addition, they have obtained a certification in Account-Based Marketing from ITSMA in October 2017.
