Geertièn de Vries

Geertièn de Vries has experience working in a variety of roles and industries. From 2018 to the present, Geertièn has been a Lead Developer at Software Improvement Group (SIG), where they are responsible for developing and improving SIG's analysis tools. Prior to this role, Geertièn worked as a Senior Developer and Developer at SIG, focusing on improving the main analysis tool and advising customers on software quality. Before joining SIG, Geertièn worked as an R&D Software Forensic Expert at Quintiq from 2016 to 2018. They also have experience as a Student Assistant at Universiteit Utrecht, where they provided support for various courses and projects. Additionally, Geertièn worked as an Education Officer at Study Association A-Eskwadraat, assisting with education and student representation. They also gained experience as a Science Tutor at Fides Studiebegeleiding, providing academic support to high school students.

Geertièn de Vries has a strong educational background in the field of computing science. Geertièn earned their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computing Science from Utrecht University, graduating in 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Informatica, also at Utrecht University, between 2010 and 2013. In their earlier years, Geertièn attended Griftland College Soest, where they received their VWO diploma in N&T (Nature and Technology) in 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Geertièn has also obtained some industry-relevant certifications. In August 2019, they acquired the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org. Furthermore, in October 2013, Geertièn earned the Diploma Eerste Hulp (First Aid Diploma) from Het Oranje Kruis.
