Shaydi DeJesus has a diverse background in various roles within the entrepreneurship and venture capital industry. Shaydi currently serves as the SoGal - Austin Lead at the SoGal Foundation, which is a global platform that provides resources and support for women and diverse entrepreneurs and investors. Prior to this, they were the Bunker Labs Austin City Lead in the Southwest Region, where they worked with veteran entrepreneurs and military spouses to help them succeed in their businesses. Shaydi also has experience as a Venture Partner at Republic, where they collaborated with startup founders and facilitated investments. In addition, Shaydi is the Founder and Partner of Military Connected Capital, a venture capital firm focused on supporting military-connected entrepreneurs. Shaydi has also worked as a Venture Strategy Partner at Gitty Inc., aiding tech startups through software engineer recruitment. Shaydi has a background in academia as well, serving as a Venture Partner at Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs and in the Incubator Launch and Selection role at ACC Bioscience Incubator. Prior to their career in entrepreneurship, Shaydi worked in business and workforce development for the State of Alaska and served as a Management Consultant in the United States Air Force.

Shaydi DeJesus completed their education journey with several notable achievements. Shaydi started their academic pursuits at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2004 to 2008, earning a Dual Bachelor's degree with Honors in Business Administration and Management, Entrepreneurship & Marketing. Continuing their educational pursuits, they pursued a Master's degree in Business and Technology Commercialization at Texas McCombs School of Business from 2016 to 2017. Finally, they recently completed their education at Stanford University in 2020, where they obtained a degree in Venture Capital.
