Mark Nelson

Mark Nelson currently serves as the Drilling & Williston Basin Operations Manager at SOGC, Inc. since January 2024. Prior to this role, Mark held various engineering positions at Hess Corporation from July 2012 to December 2023, including Sr. Specialist in Emerging Technology and multiple Senior Drilling Engineer roles supporting projects in Guyana and the Gulf of Mexico. Earlier experience includes positions as Field Drilling & Completions Engineer and Well Site Supervisor in the Gulf of Mexico and Bakken Asset, as well as internships at Cenovus Energy and Husky Energy. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Technological University and has prior education at the University of Regina and NAIT.
