Mel Colvin

Mel Colvin is an experienced event and production management professional with a diverse background in the arts sector. Currently serving as an Event Account Manager at Sydney Opera House since April 2022, Mel has previously held key roles such as Project & Administration Coordinator and Event Management Lecturer at the National Institute of Dramatic Art from 2019 to 2022, and Head of Production & Operations at Sydney Writers' Festival Ltd from 2018 to 2019. With a solid history at Sydney Opera House, including a position as Stage Manager, Mel has also contributed as Producer for the Barangaroo Delivery Authority and Technical Production Manager at CDP Theatre Producers. Educational achievements include a Graduate Certificate in Information Science from Charles Sturt University, an Advanced Diploma in Arts Administration from Swinburne University of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Technical Production from the National Institute of Dramatic Art.
