Ahmed Al Rawahi is currently serving as an EHS Graduate Engineer at Sohar Aluminium since March 2021. Prior to this role, Ahmed gained experience as a QHSE Trainee at Oman Broadband for one month in early 2021, and at Petrogas E&P and Daleel Petroleum LLC during summer internships in 2019 and 2018, respectively. Ahmed holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from the International College of Engineering and Management, completed in 2020, and obtained a High School Diploma from Al Injaz Private School.

The smelter has an annual production capacity of more than 390,000 tonnes of high-quality Aluminium. Omanisation, which currently stands at 79% of its workforce, is a driving force within the organisation. SA is a strong believer in supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and has executed a number of projects to establish and sustain SMEs. 60% of its production is earmarked for consumption by local downstream industries while the rest is exported.
