Gigi Tharian Varghese

Gigi Tharian Varghese is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking and research. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Head of Investment Banking at Sohar International and Sohar International Bank SAOG since May 2017, Gigi has previously held significant roles such as Senior Investment Specialist at the Diwan of Royal Court Pension Fund and AVP Research at EFG Hermes Oman. Gigi's early career includes positions as Associate VP at Vision Investment Services Co. SAOC and Senior Research Analyst at Independent Research P.ltd and BOE Research. Gigi holds an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Management and Research, completed the Leadership Program at Harvard Business School, and participated in an Executive Program in Behavioral Economics and Modern Economy at The London School of Economics and Political Science. Additionally, Gigi is a Chartered Financial Analyst Level 2 candidate.
