Lily Yao has over 15 years of work experience in the field of brand marketing and strategy. Lily has worked for various companies, including SoHo Experiential, Hasbro, theSkimm, National Basketball Association (NBA), Craft House Consulting, BRAVO (a division of NBCUniversal), NBCUniversal, and NBC News.
At SoHo Experiential, Lily worked as a Business Consultant from March 2023 onwards. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Entertainment Brand Marketing at Hasbro from January 2022 to February 2023. In this role, they developed and executed marketing strategies for popular brands like Transformers, Power Rangers, and PJ Masks.
Before joining Hasbro, Lily worked as the VP of Brand Marketing at theSkimm from May 2021 to January 2022. During their tenure, they led a team responsible for executing marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships targeting millennial women.
At the National Basketball Association (NBA), Lily worked as a Project Manager in the Brand & Creative Marketing department from March 2021 to May 2021. Lily also worked as a Marketing Strategist at Craft House Consulting from January 2020 to March 2021.
Earlier in their career, Lily held various positions at BRAVO, a division of NBCUniversal. These roles included Senior Director of Brand Marketing, Director of Marketing Events and Partnerships, Manager of Consumer Marketing, and Assistant Manager of Integrated Marketing. Lily played a key role in developing brand strategies, executing marketing operations, and creating immersive events and digital experiences that resulted in positive brand attribution and revenue generation.
Lily also gained experience at NBCUniversal as part of the Beijing Olympics VIP Relations team in 2008, and at NBC News as a Marketing Coordinator and Sales Assistant from 2005 to 2007.
Lily Yao holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management and Marketing from Binghamton University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications in Advanced Product Marketing from LinkedIn in January 2021 and Social Media Management from Coursera in December 2020.
