Prior to joining Southern Oil, Pieter worked at NWK Limited from May 2014 to September 2017 as a Tegnoloog and Rekenaar Bediener. Pieter obtained a Higher Certificate in Economic and Management Sciences from the University of South Africa in 2020 and completed secondary education at Hoërskool Lichtenburg from 2008 to 2013.
