Michael Fievre has a diverse work experience in the semiconductor industry. Michael started their career as a Process Integration Engineer at ALDITECH, a start-up from CEA-LETI, from December 2002 to December 2003. Michael then joined TRACIT, another start-up from CEA-LETI, as a Process Engineer from December 2003 to July 2008.
In July 2008, Michael joined SOITEC as an Industrial Engineering Project Manager and later transitioned to the role of Process Engineer from December 2007 to July 2008. From December 2009 to February 2012, they served as a Process Integration Manager at SOITEC. Michael then took on the role of Yield and Process Control Manager from February 2012 to February 2015, focusing on reducing yield and non-quality events for high-volume products.
From February 2015 to February 2016, Michael held the position of Head of Monitoring and Yield Department at SOITEC. Michael then served as Head of the Process Department from February 2016 to September 2021, managing a team of 120 engineers, technicians, and managers. In this role, they were responsible for the process of the entire 200mm and 300mm perimeter, including thermal treatment, implantation, RTP, WET, CMP, bonding, metrology, and cleanroom environment control. Michael also played a key role in industrializing new products, tools, and technologies, as well as improving capacity in ramp-up phases and implementing continuous improvement programs.
In September 2021, Michael joined Grenoble INP - Phelma as a Member of the Council. Michael is currently serving in this role. Additionally, they currently hold the position of Vice President SOI Operations at SOITEC, starting from October 2022. Prior to this, they were the 200mm, 300mm FABs Operations and Site Senior Director at SOITEC from September 2021 to October 2022.

Michael Fievre earned an Engineering degree in Physics from Grenoble INP - Phelma in 1999. Michael later went on to obtain a PhD in Physics from the same institution from 1999 to 2002.
