Sojourners
Michaela Bruzzese is a dedicated educator and theologian with extensive experience in teaching and community service. Currently, Michaela serves as a Science Teacher at Gordon Bernell Charter School and has held various roles since 2013, including Department Chair and Teacher specializing in Social Justice and Service Learning at St. Pius X High School. In addition to teaching, Michaela has contributed to theological discourse as a writer for Sojourners and served on the Board of the Dominican Ecclesial Institute from 2019 to 2023. Michaela's commitment to social justice is evident in previous roles, such as Project Coordinator for the Care for Creation program at Holy Ghost Catholic School and outreach specialist at PB&J Family Services, Inc. Michaela's educational background includes a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, a Master's in International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Emory University.
