Mika Laakso

Mika Laakso is a seasoned retail professional with extensive experience in chain management and store operations within the S-Group, serving as Senior Vice President at SOK since June 2014, overseeing Sokos department stores and Emotion specialty stores in Finland. Prior to this role, Mika held various leadership positions including Director of department store and beauty specialty store operations at S-Group/Co-operative Hämeenmaa from March 2003 to June 2014, and previously served as a Store Manager at Sokos Lahti. Earlier career milestones include roles as Sales Manager in men's and home departments at S-Group/HOK-Elanto, Product Manager for the Sokos department store chain, and International Trainee at McWhorter's Stationery Chain in the United States. Mika holds a Master's degree in Economics with a focus on marketing from Aalto University and completed high school education in both Finland and the USA.
