Cassie Lilley

Cassie Lilley is the Project Lead at Sokal. Cassie has also worked as an Assignment Editor/Web Producer at ABC11 Eyewitness News - WTVD, a Public Information Officer at the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, a Development Associate at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh, a Photographer at Cassie Mentha Photography, and a Forecast Intern at the NC DENR Division of Air Quality.

Cassie has always had a passion for news and photography. Cassie started their career as a Forecast Intern at the NC DENR Division of Air Quality in May 2011. In June 2012, they became a Photographer at Cassie Mentha Photography. A few years later, in October 2013, they started working as an Assignment Editor/Web Producer at ABC11 Eyewitness News - WTVD. In this role, they were responsible for managing newsroom logistics through placement of people and equipment in the field, acting as liaison between departments to facilitate communications, receiving and responding to incoming communications, producing content for website and social media accounts, coordinating video and information sharing with networks and affiliates, populating shared calendar with events and story ideas, obtaining facts from law enforcement and public information officers, monitoring police, fire, and EMS scanners for breaking news, booking satellite windows for live shots, and ingesting feeds from in-house and remote sources.

In November 2016, Cassie left ABC11 Eyewitness News - WTVD to become a Development Associate at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating fundraising efforts, communicating with donors and prospects, preparing donor reports and acknowledgement letters, coordinating special events, and managing the donor database. Cassie left the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh in September 2018 to become a Public Information Officer at the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. In this role, they were responsible for communicating with the public about the work of the Department and its various programs.

Cassie is currently the Project Lead at Sokal.

Cassie Lilley has a BS in Meteorology from North Carolina State University and a BA in Mass Communication from Meredith College.

They work with Amber Battle - Senior Designer, Annika Bardaxis - Creative Coordinator, and Monica Romain - Lead Senior Designer. Their manager is Pete Hurdle, Director of Creative Services.
