Xiaowei Song

Xiaowei Song has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Xiaowei started their career as a System Integration Engineer at Unitech Mechatronics, where they worked from September 2014 to July 2015.

After that, Xiaowei joined Takatack Technologies Pte Ltd as a Software Developer Intern. During their internship from March 2016 to August 2016, they contributed to various projects, including integrating Mailgun into the TackThis message center and enabling the retrieval and display of email attachments from Azure BLOB. Xiaowei also integrated the FB Messenger Platform into the message center for customer-merchant conversations.

In 2016, Xiaowei joined Ramco Systems as a Full Stack Engineer. From December 2016 to March 2018, they worked as a Web Developer in an Agile team. Their responsibilities included ideating, designing, and building prototypes.

Currently, Xiaowei is working at SOL-X as a Senior Full Stack Engineer since October 2019. In this role, they have been involved in developing and maintaining crew safety and wellness software for natural resource carrier vessels. Xiaowei has worked with IoT technologies and has rewritten the edge server source code for better type support. Xiaowei has also been responsible for unit and integration testing using Jest, setting up continuous integration pipelines, developing user interfaces with React and PWA on Android devices, maintaining ETL pipelines for data aggregation, automating Azure cloud service deployments with Pulumi and Kubernetes, troubleshooting production issues, and mentoring junior engineers.

In summary, Xiaowei Song has a strong background in full stack development and extensive experience in various software engineering roles. Xiaowei has demonstrated skills in technology stack such as Typescript, Node.js, React, and automated deployment platforms.

Xiaowei Song attended the National University of Singapore from 2015 to 2016, where they obtained a graduate diploma in System Analysis. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, they attended the Harbin Institute of Technology and earned a Bachelor's degree in Optical Information Science and Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Xiaowei Song has obtained several certifications. In November 2020, they completed a course on Convolutional Neural Networks through Coursera. In August 2020, they completed three courses: "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning." These three courses were offered by deeplearning.ai. Lastly, they completed a course on Machine Learning through Coursera in July 2020.
