Sahar Sam

CSO at Solaires Entreprises Inc

Sahar Sam is the CSO at Solaires Entreprises Inc. Prior to their current position, Sahar worked as a Research Manager at QuirkLogic Inc. from November 2018 to August 2021. Before that, they were a postdoctoral researcher at I2X Technologies from May 2016 to November 2018 where they worked on large area fabrication of flexible transparent electrodes for touch screen panels. Sahar also worked as a Senior PhD Researcher at Mercedes-Benz Canada from January 2014 to December 2014 where they were the leader of the team for design and manufacturing thin film pressure sensors. Some of their notable achievements include proposing a new design for wireless pressure sensor to monitor pressure inside fuel cell stacks and leading the team at University of Victoria to design and test pressure sensors. Sahar has also worked as a sessional instructor at University of Victoria from May 2011 to September 2016 and as a renewable energy (solar cell) researcher at Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg from October 2012 to December 2012.

Sahar Sam earned their Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Victoria. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Science in Materials Engineering from Shiraz University. Sahar also holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from Shiraz University.

Sahar Sam works with Ernest Daddey - CDO, Nolita Kay - Sustainability Manager, and Josh Goodin - Product Development Director. Their manager is Fabian De La Fuente, CEO.
