John Buffington

John Buffington is a seasoned sustainability professional with over 15 years of experience in the field. John started their career as a managing consultant at Blu Skye Sustainability Consulting in 2004, where they excelled in their role until 2010. In 2010, John founded Karbon Strateji, a sustainability consulting firm focused on providing environmentally-friendly solutions to Turkish companies. John worked there as a founder/partner and completed their job successfully in 2015. Afterward, John joined I-Bar Technology as a sales director where they were responsible for managing key accounts, finding awesome new mobile accessories and collaborating on all aspects of business planning until March 2015. John's most recent job was with SolAmerica Energy as the VP of Business Development, where they have been working since April 2015. John'sexperience in sustainability consulting, business development, and sales has helped him become an efficient and passionate professional in their field.

John Buffington pursued higher education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Public Health from 1998 to 2000, earning a Masters degree in Environmental Management and Policy. John then continued their education at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained their MBA with a focus on Sustainability.
